Rémi Maillard

President and Managing Director, Airbus in India and South Asia

Rémi is a career corporate executive who has held a variety of leadership roles across Management, Sales, and Managing Director of Airbus India and South Asia, Rémi currently leads Airbus’ businesses across all divisions in the region: Commercial Aircraft, Defence and Space as well as Helicopters. He drives Airbus’ commercial and operational activities in South Asia. Airbus can contribute to FEBI with its understanding of the trans-European sensibilities and synergies. Owing to its long presence in India, Airbus can also contribute towards enhancing FEBI’s standing by bringing in its deep experience of the Indian operating environment.

Sayeed Ahmed

CEO/ Director, Biesse India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Ahmed joined Biesse India as the CEO during 2008 and was subsequently appointed to the Board of Directors from 27 October 2015. Biesse India is a subsidiary of Biesse, Italy, which is a global manufacturing leader of CNC Machines for Wood, Stone and Glass Machining. He is currently responsible for implementing strategies to develop Biesse India as the business leader in providing solutions. Mr. Ahmed believes that Businesses from Europe under various verticals would be playing a synergistic role in the growth story of India for decades to come.

Aditya Narain Sinha

Vice President & Director, ALAR Group, Business Development, International Seaport Dredging Pvt. Ltd. (DEME Group Belgium)

Mr. Sinha has 18 years of experience in project development, international trade and business advisory, strategic consulting, in the fields of maritime, shipbuilding, renewables and capital goods. His role includes, navigating complex regulatory landscape and building robust networks with local stakeholders. These experiences have equipped him with invaluable insights into the challenges and opportunities that European companies face in India.

Stefan Leser

Managing Director, Groz Beckert Asia Private Limited

 

Mr. Leser is the MD of Groz-Beckert Asia, located in Chandigarh and has been producing in India for 64 years, and has been selling products for industry and the textile sector for over 100 years. With many years of international experience in building and maintaining foreign business in Europe, Asia and Africa, he is committed to integrate European invested companies into their supply chains. This includes the representation of interests and dialogue with the Indian government and administration.

Susanne Gun Elisabeth Pulverer

CEO and Chief Sustainability Officer, IKEA India Pvt. Ltd.

Susanne joined IKEA in 1997 and has worked across organizations in different roles within IKEA. Susanne in her last role in India was the Country Sustainability Manager laying down a people and planet positive framework for India. She was also leading market development for Delhi NCR region. She strongly believe in the cohesive voice for European businesses operating in India through FEBI and her extensive experience of leading business in India will help contribute in making FEBI a strong and effective voice to support European companies thrive and grow in the country.

Sanjay Tiwari

Public Affairs Advisor to Maersk India Pvt. Ltd.

He has many years of in distribution and logistics. His main focus has been making poorly performing units healthy again, and formulating a vision which is achievable for the team. He has previously held executive management positions with Maersk Trade Finance, Air France and KLM. He is a member of CII’s National Logistics Council. He is an active member of the FEBI task force since its inception, playing a significant role in formulating & shaping the organization.

Shekhar Bhide

VP–Customer Services & Corporate Affairs, Mercedes-Benz India Pvt. Ltd.

Mr. Bhide is associated with the Mercedes-Benz for past 28 years. In this capacity, he collaborates with different government departments and represents MB India at both national and International industry forums. He is an active member of the FEBI task force since its inception, playing a significant role in formulating & shaping the organization. With the current landscape emphasizing the necessity for robust engagement and advocacy with the government.

Ashutosh Sharma

Executive Director, Mondragon Corporation, India,

Mr. Sharma has worked over 25 years with Spanish Companies and has been associated with Mondragon Corporation since 1999 and currently holds the position of Principal Delegate for the Corporation in India. He has a deep understanding of the problems and challenges faced by most of the European companies in India, especially the small and medium sized companies European Companies in India and which will be of great value to FEBI.

Deepak Sharma

Managing Director & CEO, Schneider Electric India Private Limited

Mr. Sharma has more than 25 years of professional experience with Schneider Electric handling diverse roles based out of India, France, China, and USA across Energy Management & Industrial Automation businesses. Deepak actively engages with Industry bodies and associations. He is currently Vice Chair, Cll National Committee on Smart Cities & Urban Development and a Governing Council Member of Indo French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFFCI). With a rich experience of handling Global Markets including Europe, Americas and Asia, and a deep understanding of the intricacies of the Indian market, he possesses a unique balance of knowledge and experience.

Payal S. Kanwar

Director General, Indo-French Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IFCCI)

With close to 20 years of experience in the field of international business relations, public communication and advocacy, Ms. Kanwar plays a key role in the Indo-French business relations and was previously associated with the Embassy of France in India and BNP Paribas from 2006 to 2011. With 18 years of experience in the field of Indo-French business and a strong commitment to fostering European-Indian business relations, She is enthusiastic about contributing to FEBI’s mission of facilitating trade, investment, and collaboration between Europe and India.

Stefan Halusa

Director General, Indo-German Chamber of Commerce (IGCC)

Mr. Halusa has more than 23 years of experience and has held positions in the HQ (Head of Strategy), in divisions (Head of New Markets), in Asia (President Asia and East Asia). He has spent around 10 years in Japan and Korea and was a member of the Board of the Korean-German Chamber of Commerce and Industry and its President for 2 years. He joined the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce as Director General in 2020. He aims to contribute to the significant improvement in the ease of doing business, as well as having an aligned, consolidated approach between the existing bilateral chambers and FEBI.

Claudio Maffioletti

Secretary General, Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI)

Mr. Maffioletti served as the General Manager of the Indo-Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IICCI) starting 2007, where he was in charge of the Business Assistance, Operations and Financial Control divisions. He was appointed as the Secretary General of the IICCI in August 2015, focusing on execution of cluster projects in strategic sectors and branding activities for Italian companies present in the Indian market. He is an active member of the FEBI task force since its inception, playing a significant role in formulating & shaping the organization.

Oscar Esteban

President, Indo-Spanish Chamber of Commerce, CEO of SIS-Prosegur and Business Director of Prosegur for Asia

Mr. Esteban has been associated with Prosegur since 2002, which is the second largest security company worldwide. He has International working experience in Europe, Latam and Asia. Specifically, and within Asia, in China, Singapore, UAE, Saudi Arabia, India. He believes that with the growing importance of India in the macro-economic arena and the difficulties EU companies face in India, FEBI will strengthen EU policy advocacy and contribute to ease of doing business in India.

Kamal Bali

President & Managing Director, Volvo Group in India, Chairman, Swedish Chamber of Commerce India (SCCI)

Mr. Bali has been spearheading reputed Indian as well as multi-national organisations as President & CEO for over two decades, in a career spanning over four decades. Since 2014, he is the President & Managing Director of Volvo Group in India. India is an important partner for EU now and for the future. FEBI’s role is to be the speaking partner on free trade agreement, investment protection, and policy related issues. This is very important to enable a just, fair, and streamlined business environment and experience for all.
